Records of Wells

Descriptions of 259 wells visited in Jewell County are given in Table 17. All information classed as "reported" was obtained from the owner, tenant, or driller. Depths of all other wells are measured and are given to nearest tenth of a foot below the measuring point described in the tables, and depths to water level not classed as "reported" are measured and are given to the nearest hundredth of a foot. The well-numbering system in this table utilizes the General Land Office survey as described [in the Introduction].
