Biggs Honored with Stewardship Award

Danny Biggs, President of the Kansas Oil and Gas Museum Foundation was awarded the Stewardship award by the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission (IOGCC) June 12, 2000 at the Mid-year meeting in Lexington, Kentucky.

The "Stewardship Award" is awarded to those preserving the history of the oil and gas industry and providing educational opportunities to students and the public.

The Kansas Oil and Gas Museum located in Great Bend, Kansas was founded in 1990 to provide educational information about the present industry activities, to preserve the history of the oil and gas industry, and to honor those who have dedicated their lives to the industry.

Mr. Biggs is Vice President, Partner, General Superintendent and Director of Pickrell Drilling Co., Inc., Mobile Drilling Co., Inc., Central Dirt Service, Inc., and Pickrell Acquisitions, Inc., and also a partner in Kelly Petroleum. Biggs was past President of the KIOGA and current member and director. He is President and Director the Kansas Oil and Gas Hall of Fame and Museum Foundation. Biggs is also the Area Director of IPAA and has served on the Board of Governors for the state of Kansas. He is a member of the Regulatory Practice Committee of IOGCC. He serves on the Barton County Historical Foundation, the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce and the American Petroleum Institute, IOGCC Crude Oil Policy Committee as well as the Association of Energy Service Companies. He also serves as President of the National Stripper Well Association.
