PTTC to Present Petroleum Technology Fair ’04 in March

The North Midcontinent PTTC will sponsor the second Petroleum Technology Fair on March 24, 2004, at the Airport Hilton in Wichita. Our first Petroleum Technology Fair, in March 2002, was attended by nearly 100 operators and interest was sparked in several new technologies presented at the show.

Tech Fair ’04 will include a number of speakers presenting descriptions of technologies which are applicable to operators in this area. In addition, a number of low-cost exhibit spaces will be available for vendors to display their products.

The Tech Fair ’04 subjects presented by the speakers are:

1. nitrogen rejection units to improve gas quality in low-BTU gas production,
2. a method of identifying and quantifying gas in coalbeds, while drilling
3. improved pipeline flow characteristics utilizing vortex flow methods
4. remote (field) data collection and utilization
5. highly-efficient, economical, pump-off controllers
6. tools to determine reservoir permeability
7. PacemakerTM plunger-lift methods
8. use of poly-lined tubing to eliminate corrosion and mechanical wear
9. affordable satellite-based monitoring units
10. latest oilfield chemical applications.
