The best place to find Kansas GIS data is the web site of the Kansas Data Access and Support Center (DASC). Housed with the KGS in Lawrence, DASC is the state's official agency to collect and dissemenate GIS data for Kansas.

PLSS Conversion

LEOWEB
LEOWEB 11 is a web based version of the most recent development efforts to convert geographic coordinates to PLSS legal land descriptions. The project has been funded by Kansas GIS Policy Board and the Kansas Geological Survey. The application runs via contemporary web browsers with server side interaction thru the Oracle APEX 4.0 environment.
LEO 7.0
LEO 7.0 is a JAVA application that converts Kansas Public Land Survey System (PLSS) legal land descriptions to geographic coordinates and vice versa. The program is designed to run as a stand-alone application allowing users to perform conversions without access to a networked environment. The application is not a surveying tool and only provides an approximate conversion.
