Laminated siltstone overlying the Mineral Coal and below the fine-grained sandstone ridges. Outcrop is in lower part of northern wall of coal pit at the Panther Creek Mine.

View of west wall of coal pit at Panther Creek Mine showing fine grained sandstone with a 12 inch coal overlying the sandstone. This coal is above the Mineral Coal (Possibly Fleming Coal. However, the mine refers to the coal as the Robinson Branch Coal). Coal grades up into a black organic rich shale. Coal is only present in the western part of the mine and appears to pinch out onto sandstone thicks. Close up in next image.
