• Pump and Treat using the Forager™ Sponge in a Water Treatment Plant (P&T)

By clicking on the selected technology under the References tab you will find:

• A description of the technology
• The science behind the technology
• How the technology is used in practice (design)
• Advantages/disadvantages in using the technology
• The types of costs associated with using the technology
• PDFs of references that pertain to the technology

Click on the links to the the PDFs that describe the technologies in more detail and contain case histories of their use for remediating chromium-contaminated aquifers. If it is not already on your computer, you will need to download a PDF reader from the Adobe website.

Under the References tab you will also find information on:

• Capture zones
• Redox chemistry
• Chromium.

Under the Resources tab, you will find:

• Drillers' logs of test holes drilled by your consulting company near the pipeline break
• The results of laboratory tests on aquifer materials.
• Contaminant characteristics data.
• Background groundwater chemistry data.
• Hydrograph from a nearby well.

Click on the Rules tab to view the major equipment (capital) and operation & maintenance (O&M) costs associated with each technology.

When you have completed the simulated remediation with each technology you will use the material under the Resources and References tabs, the PDFs, and the tracking log to prepare your written report on the work you were hired by the pipeline owner to complete.
