The Fifteenth Oil Recovery Conference

The Tertiary Oil Recovery Project (TORP) and the North Midcontinent Petroleum Technology Transfer Council will co-sponsor the Fifteenth Oil Recovery Conference March 12-13, 2003 in Wichita, Kansas. The conference will focus on projects and technologies being successfully applied in Kansas and the midcontinent to recover additional oil and gas.
The conference will kick-off at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday March 12th with an overview of the CO2 pilot test in the Hall-Gurney Field in Russell Co., Kansas. This will be followed by a cocktail and hors d’oeuvres social.
Technical sessions will be conducted from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Thursday March 13th. Presentation titles are:

  • Results on the Kansas Geological Survey’s Hugoton Project
  • Hunton Dewatering Project (Mystery Solved)
  • Propellant Technology Helps Unlock Arbuckle Oil Using GasGunTM Stimulations and Acid
  • Potential CO2 Opportunities Outside of the Permian Basin
  • Reducing Risk in the Implementation of the CO2 Pilot Test in the Hall-Gurney Field in Russell, Co., Kansas

All technical sessions will be held in the lower courtyard of the Bank of America, 100 North Broadway. The social and lunch (on the 13th) will be at the Petroleum Club on the 9th floor of the same building. A luncheon presentation titled, “Domestic Oil and Natural gas Future, the Role of Technology”, will be given.

A fee of $65 covers registration, social, lunch and a copy of the conference proceedings, which will be mailed after the confer-ence. A special conference rate of $79 plus taxes for single or double occupancy has been arranged.
