Close-up of erosional contact between the gray silty sand stone and the overlying brownish silty sandstone that appears to be cutting down into the underlying silty sandstone. Contact is erosional and is marked by an erosional lag of carbonate material and some coal fragments. Coal fragment is at hammer point continuing to the right as a carbonate rich lag. Close-up of Mulberry Coal at Lost Creek Mine. Face cleat is roughly parallel to hammer. Face cleats are orientated NE-SW and are spaced approximately 3-6” apart. Butt cleat roughly parallel to plane of picture.
