This paper is part of a geomodeling project that is an outgrowth of the Hugoton Initiative, a five-year industry-Kansas Geological Survey consortium. It demonstrates how lithofacies information was extracted from digital well logs using artificial intelligence, in the Panoma Field (Council Grove), Hugoton Embayment, in southwest Kansas.
