3 CLAY--slightly silty, gray with some lavender and very dark mottling (red); red is nearly pure hematite, weathers in fairly large granular pieces 5.1-5.9
2 CLAY--plastic, lavender, light gray and red mottled with some yellow, some dendritic pattern of red, grades into bed below 4.2-5.0
1 CLAY--plastic, gray, yellow and red mottled; considerable amount of dendritic pattern in red 5.0
