Speakers' Judges', and Poster
Presenters' Information
All speakers, judges, and poster presenters will receive a ticket
to attend the Monday morning breakfast in conjunction with KIOGA
at 7:45 a.m.. Immediately following the breakfast, Monday's
Judges should report to the Directors Room and Speakers should
report to the Premier Room for final instructions on the Technical
sessions.
Tuesday's Judges will report to the Directors Room at 8:00 a.m. Tuesday for instructions and judging materials. Tuesday's Speakers should report to the Premier Room on Tuesday morning at 8:00 a.m.
Slide Center
All speakers are requested to utilize the Ambassador Room for
slide organization and carousel trays. The Slide Center will
be open during the following hours:
Sunday, August 29 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Monday, August 30. 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Tuesday, August 31 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Transaction Volume
The Kansas Geological Society will publish short papers, extended
abstracts and abstracts for each oral or poster presentation provided
by the author. These transactions will be included in the registration
packet.
Judges' Information
All oral and poster judges will be given a ticket to attend the
Monday morning breakfast held in conjunction with KIOGA. Immediately
following the breakfast, please go to the Directors Room for final
instructions.
Judges Needed
If you are interested in judging, please check the appropriate
box on the registration form. By volunteering your time as a
judge, you will be helping select the best paper and poster for
the convention. The winners will receive an award at the next
Mid-Continent Convention.
Opening Session
Alan DeGood, convention Co-Chairman and Brad Rine, Mid-Continent
Section President will have opening remarks and introduce the
Honorary Chairmen, Dr. J. Robert Berg and Dr. Robert F. Walters.
Mr. Ray Thomasson, AAPG National President, will speak and introduce
the candidates for next years national offices. Each of the candidates
will have an opportunity to address the convention delegates.
Recognition will be given for the A.I. Levorsen Award (best oral
paper) and the Roger Planalp Award (best poster presentation)
from the 1997 Mid-Continent Section Meeting held in Oklahoma City.
