Instead of a printed book, the 2001 IAMG Annual Meeting will present the conference proceedings as a CD-ROM. The papers will be presented as Adobe Acrobat documents, with a navigation system built in Acrobat and full text search capabilities. Because we are using a CD-ROM format, papers don't have to be limited in length. Feel free to add color photos, charts, or maps to your paper.

There will also be room on the CD-ROM for additional materials. MPEG, AVI, or QuickTime movies showing the results of your work, software source code or executables, data files, and other supporting materials can be placed on the CD-ROM. Please email us with your ideas.

Please submit your presentations as

  • Microsoft Word (preferred) or Word Perfect documents,
  • Acrobat PDF
  • EPS (PostScript)
  • RTF, or
  • as a print out for us to scan.
In addition, please send us a hard copy version so we can compare the PDF we create with your original.

Files can be e-mailed to us at dana@kgs.ku.edu, sent on a ZIP or floppy disk to the address below, or sent by FTP. If you want to use FTP, please log on to crude2.kgs.ku.edu and use the username and password sent to you by Gina Ross by email. Anonymous ftp no longer works--use the new username and password! Change to the pub directory, move into the IAMG subdirectory, and place your files in the directory for your session (A though N). It is a write-only drop box; you will not be able to get files from that directory. Please try to use a unique filename! One hundred files called "IAMG.doc" will cause no end of grief!. Use your first initial with your last name, and add a number to indicate different papers by the same author name.

Send your print outs and other materials to
