Photomicrograph nomenclature JPEGs were named according to the following generic format: API#_Depth_Type_Magnification_Polarization.JPG -We used 10 digit API numbers (not 12 or 14) in the first column. -We subsituted a hyphen (-) for a period (.) in our depth column. For example, 4606-5 signifies a depth of 4606.5 feet. -"Type" refers to the object photographed. For this project, every object was a thin section (TS). -The next column refers to the magnification of the image. -The final column is the polarization. Photos were either taken in Plane Polarized Light (PPL) or Cross Polarized Light (XPL). -All the photos are JPEGs with the ".jpg" extension. Example: 0504510927_4606-5_TS_160x_PPL.JPG
