Volumetric calculations are available to all users of GEMINI, including geologists, engineers, and core and log petrophysicist. Volumetric and material balance analyses serve as an important intermediate step towards reservoir simulation. GEMINI permits iterations between the petrophysics describing the pore properties and volumetrics to optimize solutions that best fit the pore properties. Comparison between volumetrics and material balance volumes provide a means to check the accuracy of pore type characterization, flow units and their spatial correlations (continuity and conformance). The user is allowed to revisit the geomodel and make revisions as new data becomes available.
