The plot applet opens the LAS files and plots the data on one plot using
the cross section control XML file to determine the order of the Well/Location
and the order of the plot tracks of each well/location. If the Elevation is
present then the data is displayed with respect to the elevation or to a horizon.

Elevation |
Each of the Wells are computed at a common depth with respect to the Elevation.
This can only be done if the Elevation is present for each well. |
|
 |
Horizon |
Each of the Wells are computed at a common depth with respect to the Horizon
(Formation Top), i.e. this example, B-P/LM Bed.
This can only be done if the Horizon exists in all the wells, since the depth
is referenced at each log depth for each well. |
|
 |
Log Depth |
Each of the Wells are computed at a common depth with respect to Log Depth, since
all logs are computed from the surface as 0 ft. This datum does not require that
a wells elevation exist. |
