Plume Busters is an interactive simulation in which you play the role of an environmental consultant. These linked web pages provide you with:

Directions for using the features in Map View (including tutorials on the Calculator and Monitoring Well Installation) and
Information that will help you locate the plume and clean up a contamination problem in the Map View window.

Once you have completed the simulation, your instructor may ask you to write up a consultant's report using the information in these pages and the results of your interaction with the simulation.

If you are just starting Plume Busters, go into the display settings for your monitor/computer screen and set them to the highest resolution possible (1280 x 1024 at the minimum). Then, click on the radio button next to the first option listed below. Otherwise, select one of the other sections of the web pages to continue your work with the simulator or go directly to Map View:
