Arranging Travel

(use menu at left to view Travel topics)

You should plan on flying into the San Diego International Airport (SAN) which is about 15 miles south of La Jolla. You can arrange your own flights or you can contact Debbie Douglass at the Kansas Geological Survey at 785-864-2153, to arrange your travel. It is best to arrange your own travel plans if your are combining this trip with other destinations.

Shuttles are available from the airport to the workshop hotel. Details will be posted shortly, or you can contact Nancy Jensen at SDSC by phone, or email. Rental cars can be arranged when you book your flights. We can put you in contact with other workshop participants if you wish to share a car.

Forms for reimbursement for plane tickets, rental cars, and other travel costs will be completed onsite at the workshop. The KU contracts office is usually very prompt in paying reimbursements.
