KU Title: Information Specialist

Salary, Employment Status, and Fringe Benefits: Starting salary $50,000 to $60,000 per year plus benefits, depending on qualifications and experience. Full-time, regular position appointed to the unclassified professional staff at the University of Kansas. Continuation of employment is contingent on funding and performance. Benefits include University staff privileges; 22 days vacation leave, 12 days sick leave, and 9 holidays annually; group medical, life insurance, and retirement program options.
Work as part of a team to develop and enhance the Kansas On-Line Automated Reporting (KOLAR) web site: https://kolar.kgs.ku.edu/. KOLAR allows oil/gas operators and water well drillers to submit geologically related regulatory information to various state agencies. This position provides the opportunity to work on a variety of projects in a continuous learning environment. The successful candidate will be challenged to apply advanced web and database technologies to solve complex issues related to the KOLAR web site.
The job duties for this position are as follows:
50% Web site development
25% Web site support
5% Assist in the installation and maintenance of web servers.
10% Communications with partner agencies.
10% Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
