This position open only to students enrolled at the University of Kansas.
This position will work closely with the Human Resources Director at the Kansas Geological Survey. The work will provide students interested in business and human resources valuable applied experience. Availability for one year is necessary.
Assist Kansas Geological Survey, Human Resources, and Payroll offices with general office work including: filing; photocopying; data entry; proofreading; distributing job announcements; setting up job folders; setting up new personnel folders; making labels; mail merging; other duties as assigned by supervisors. Make occasional courier deliveries on campus. Scan records for ongoing archive project. Provide additional support as assigned.
**During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: 1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or 2) be pre-enrolled in upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or 3) be enrolled in summer session or 4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).**
