Hours Per Week: 20 hours


Serves as Purchasing Assistant. Work is of a standardized nature involving a variety of duties requiring different methods of solution and a moderate amount of independent judgment.

Required Qualifications

  1. Must be a KU student. Summer enrollment is not required if student was enrolled in at least 6 credit hours during the spring semester.
  2. Demonstrated effective ability in utilizing PC technology using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word on Windows based PC.
  3. Good command of English language with proficiency in grammar as evidenced in application materials.
  4. Detail oriented as demonstrated in application submission and skill in filing.
  5. Available to work in 2-4 hour blocks of time within office hours 8 am-12 noon and 1 pm-5 pm Monday through Friday and able to work through summer.

Position Requirement

  1. Valid Kansas driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Knowledge of People Soft software.
  2. Experience with KU KUPPS ordering system.
  3. Experience with copying and scanning documents.
  4. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and follow general instructions.
