Big Hand Field was discovered in 1977. The low resistivity in the pay zone ranges from 1.8 to 2.5 ohm-m. PfEFFER analysis indicates a clustering of points in the pay zone with an Sw of 35 to 50% and BVW varying from 0.075 to 0.085. The porosity ranges from 16 to 22%. The gamma ray values are a consistent 20 API units. The clustering of points indicates that the reservoir is at or near irreducible bulk volume water which is borne out by the production and DST data. The well was perforated from 110168 to 10188 feet and recovered 862 BOPD, 85 MCFGPD, and 14 BWPD. The had DST recovered 3255 feet of gas cut oil.
