Records of Wells and Test Holes
Information pertaining to 231 water wells and test holes in Jefferson County is given in
table 3. Much of the data was obtained from well owners and well users. The depth to water
and the depth of the well were measured by the author when possible. The locations of the
wells and test holes are shown on plate 1.
