Field Trips
On a public field trip in fall 2002, participants look on as Chuck Bonner uncovers mosasaur remains preserved in the Niobrara Chalk of Gove County.
For several years, the KGS conducted a series of public field trips, taking participants to different parts of the state to get a hands-on look at the local rocks and fossils. Check out the photos and highlights from these trips, as well as online and downloadable guidebooks.
The public field trip program has been discontinued for the present.
