Pre-Graneros Paleogeography--Appendix 4
The Braun #1 test hole was drilled by the Rosencrantz-Bemis Drilling Company, Great Bend, Kansas, during February, 1987, in the NE, NE, NE Sec. 30, T. 12 S., R. 18 W., Ellis County. The #1 Brungardt was drilled by the Kansas Geological Survey during May, 1989 in the SE, SE, SE Sec. 25, T. 12 S., R. 17 W., Ellis County. The logs run in the two test holes were total gamma ray (API units), spectral gamma ray (potassium %, uranium ppm, thorium ppm), hole diameter caliper (inches), cable tension (lb), formation density (g/cc), photoelectric absorption index (barns/electron), compensated neutron porosity (limestone equivalent porosity units), spontaneous potential (millivolts), spherically focused resistivity (ohm-meters), medium induction resistivity (ohm-meters), and deep induction resistivity (ohm-meters). A borehole compensated sonic log ((s/ft) also was run in the #1 Brungardt borehole. These logs are presented in Figures 4.1 through 4.9 with the pertinent stratigraphic information.
