Calculation of Mobile Water Saturation
Fluid Saturation Dichotomy
- Average Sw from PfEFFER analysis is 65 to 75 %
- Well production history - water free oil production in early years
Pore Print Frequency Distribution - presence of macro & micro
pores
Assumptions in Calculation of Mobile Water Saturation
- Total Sw from PfEFFER analysis = Sw in Macro & Micro Pores
- Macro pores contain mobile oil & water
- Micro pores contain immobile water
OOIP = (1- total Sw) * grid volume * effective porosity
Effective pore volume = grid volume * effective porosity
Effective So = OOIP / effective pore volume
- Normalized to less than or equal to 75%(Swir = 25%)
Mobile Sw = (1- effective So)
