The area highlighted as the "Simulation Area" in the "Best Area for Infill Drilling" map was selected to study the effectiveness of using a horizontal well in place of one or more vertical infill wells for enhanced oil recovery in a mature oil field.

This simulation exercise was carried out using the BOAST-VHS simulator. Based on the "Best Area for Infill Drilling" map, 3 new vertical infill wells were drilled in the "Simulation Area". This exercise tries to compare the simulated recoveries from these 3 new vertical infill wells to that from a single horizontal well drilled at the same location.
