This is the "hidden treasure map" (saturation-feet) of Schaben field as of 1995 and is the major output from the simulation study. It shows the areas that have the highest potential for future development, i.e. highlights the areas with high remaining mobile oil.

All grid cells with a residual oil saturation less than 40% (Swir is 25% in this study) or with a pay thickness of less than 20 feet have been zeroed, i.e. they appear as cells without a color. Thus any grid cell in this map that has a color has a pay thickness greater than 20 feet and has a residual oil saturation higher than 40%.

Zones of low oil saturation (between 0.3-0.4) appear around most of the wells. The oil saturations remaining near most of the wells are just above the irreducible oil saturation obtained from the effective relative permeability curves used in the simulation.
